ZEROING IN - STAGE ONE THE HEALTH SECTOR
Taking the MDB Health Sector as an example, we can first zero in on it by looking at how much each of the MDBs have been committing to the sector. A quick check makes it clear that the World Bank dominates in the health sector, with 87 percent of approved MDB funds for health in FY 2006. Note that this exercise is an example and the following analysis can be carried out in any MDB-financed sector:
We can also determine that health sector project lending at the World Bank has been strong, in recent years exceeding $2 billion - in two recent years even over $3 billion, and is likely to continue robustly in future:
