MDB PUBLIC INVESTMENT LENDING
MDB public investment lending is for actual projects, as opposed to loans or credits for policy purposes, private investment projects, lines of credit, emergency and other non-investment, and non-project loans. It is these public investment projects that finance consulting assignments, goods and equipment and works. In fiscal 2006, the share of public investment lending in the total commitments by the five MDBs was 65.4 percent - it totaled $31.3 billion.
