AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK (AfDB) The AfDB was established in 1966 and has 78 members, of which 53 are regional holding 64% of Bank voting power (Nigeria holds 10.2%), and 25 non-regional holding 36% (US holds 5.9%, Japan 4.9%). The Bank's lending in FY 2009 was equivalent to $12.64 billion. Its country operations are organized in five groups of West, Central, East, North and South. Officially its headquarters is in Abidjan, Cote d' Ivoire, but is currently located in Tunis Belvedere, Tunisia. Its fiscal year (FY) is the calendar year. For AfDB sector lending, click here.
